Fiscal Sponsorship Success Stories
We at the One Race Human Race Foundation are excited about the success of filmmakers who have taken advantage of our Fiscal Sponsorship Program. Some successful projects include:

Appalacia
Appalacia is a Blackbird Pictures film, their mission is to create films that tell human stories.
Their company cherishes the medium of film as a tool for telling human stories that show resilience and unification amidst difficult times. They also believe that film is an extraordinary tool for showing the complexity of human beings. With this mission statement, Blackbird Pictures was an excellent candidate for the One Race Human Race Fiscal Sponsorship Program, and had a successful campaign.
This campaign wrapped in 2020 and was successful far has raised over $10,000 in funding using the One Race Human Race Fiscal Sponsorship Program in 2021! View more info about this project via the link below.
Kennedy
Kennedy is Blackbird Pictures’ upcoming six-part documentary series created by Ashton Gleckman, which chronicles the life and legacy of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Kennedy takes viewers on an extraordinary and intimate ride through the life of the ambitious and youthful President. Gleckman will use a diverse crew to bring this story to life. This is his 2nd film to use the One Race Human Race Fiscal Sponsorship Program.
This campaign is still in progress but thus far has raised over $50,000 in funding using the One Race Human Race Fiscal Sponsorship Program in 2021! View more info about this project via the link below.
F** 2020
In 2020, two well-known Indianapolis artists, Quincy Owens and Luke Crawley, decided to top off their cluster of a year with some four-letter holiday cheer. The best-selling ornament they created, “F**K 2020,” became a cheeky expression of their tenacity and creativity during the pandemic, and inspired award-winning international filmmaker Paul Nethercott to create a short documentary of the same name.
This culturally diverse crew and cast of characters will create a film to tell a story that I believe will — in some small way — help the world laugh, reflect, and heal from a tumultuous 2020!
This film ran a successful Kickstarter campaign and raised $25,000 meeting their goal using the One Race Human Race Fiscal Sponsorship Program. View the Kickstarter campaign below.

Fiscal sponsorship is an arrangement between an existing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an individual or entity lacking the legal status needed to receive grants from foundations, individual donors, and government agencies. Partnering with our foundation gives you the opportunity to solicit funds and grants from businesses or individuals wishing to write off their donations. $29.95 application fee, answer within 10 business days.
We want to empower filmmakers and creatives from all walks of life and by locking arms with them as their fiscal sponsor, we can open doors that are ordinarily closed to them by allowing donors to write off donations to support their projects.
